In the heart of Cattolica there is a place with a style of authentic simplicity, which is not a vague way of saying, but is a consistent and continuous behavior, of attention to the small and large needs of the traveller and of sharing the passions that are in the family DNA. Starting from the love for good food and a natural lifestyle.
Here everything revolves around the teaching that the family handed down to us: respecting what we have and who we are. My sister and I grew up like this, between the father’s campaign and the love for the mother’s kitchen. From them we have learned the beauty of good living and the effort that is behind it. A world that we hold tight and that it’s nice to tell and share.
A small farmhouse at the sea
The distinctive title of agriturismo al mare, attributed to us by customers, fully defines the identity of our cuisine: quality and substance as is the cuisine of Romagna, which enhances the poor food of sailors and products of the land, without too many artifices. What we prepare comes from our family garden without additives and at zero km. This is how it works for us and always, even before it becomes a trend.
The protagonists of the menus are the produce of the vegetable garden, the catch of the day mainly of the Adriatic, the cuts of meat used in the traditional cuisine and the recipes of our history, learned from our sailors and grandmother Teresa. Of course the fresh pasta stretched to the rolling pin, from lasagne to cappelletti in broth, from ravioli to strozzapreti with meat sauce, from cannelloni gnocchi with fish. There is also a careful selection of cheeses, cured meats and typical products to be brought to the table, and out, as described in our "Little workshop of Aurora".
Final note is the impeccable attention to babies with ad hoc preparations on the advice of mothers, young guests with proposals suitable for their taste, celiacs and various dietary needs.
The style
It is a small hotel on the sea, detached from the nightlife and the center of everything: 50 meters from the beach and the promenade, a few steps from the promenade of Via Dante and a hundred steps from the heart of the historic center and the central square.
It has the style of a holiday home, simple and cared for, always in the making. The mood is cool and relaxed, thanks to the color of sea water and the sea decorations scattered here and there, with lots of bitte, corals and beach cabins.
Here you come to do nothing special but live the sea, relax in the Jacuzzi on the rooftop, laze in the relaxing corners, play with the services of a family hotel, and of course enjoy healthy cuisine.
And especially here you come for simplicity, without ifs and buts, with that I do not know that polite and familiar that makes you feel good. A sort of refuge from confusion and coldness.

We are a family-run hotel and we know perfectly what are the attentions that make the difference for children. We have thought about the comfort and services for the various age groups; our Catholic to the safe and equipped beaches and amusement parks nearby.
Our beach can be awarded the Green Flag of Pediatricians, a jewel child-friendly, awarded by a team of a thousand Italian pediatricians, who have specifically recognized the beach of Cattolica safe and beneficial for health, with the presence of high concentrations of iodine.
All thanks to father’s garden
We started to bring the products of our hinterland in the kitchen of the hotel when there was still no talk of green and km Zero.
It all starts, years ago, from the interest of the same customers who, visiting the family garden, wanted a box of fresh fruit and vegetables, in memory of the holiday.
This appreciation was decisive, and bringing the products to zero km on the table in the hotel was in fact a natural consequence. This is how the Little Workshop of the Aurora was born.
Awards and reviews
Designed and built by the family business, we did not let ourselves be conditioned by trends (it was 1998) when the idea of large rooms at the expense of quantity was thought insane. We wanted large and functional spaces to live well the holiday. 18 rooms in all.
One year after the inauguration comes unexpected a singular recognition of the President of the Hoteliers with the motivation: "visible example that the small business produces and believes".
Soon after chosen by the Michelin Guide for the spaces and bathrooms of rare amplitude, and the quality of the kitchen. Follows Small Quality Hotels.
Constantly in the top positions on Tripadvisor, in 2017 comes the award which 7 Hotel in Italy in the TOP 25 hotels in Italy with best value for money.
